Rock in Rio - Lisbon

Rock in Rio, one of the world’s biggest and best-organised music festivals, takes place once again in the Portuguese capital over two action-packed weekends on 15/16 and 22/23 June.

The line-up is already complete and features Ed Sheeran (pictured above), Scorpions, Callum Scott, Evanescence, Jonas Brothers, Macklemore, James, Doja Cat and many, many more.

This very popular biennial rock festival brings music fans to Lisbon from all over the world. More than 300,000 people attend the four-day event, which also takes place in Rio de Janeiro.

Rock in Rio is located in Lisbon’s Parque Tejo, an 90-hectare natural arena conveniently set close to the main transport links in the north-eastern district of Parque was Nações, the precinct where the Expo 98 World Exposition was held.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in Lisbon this year (the first edition in 2004 headlined Paul McCartney), the festival caters for a very large crowd with dozens of bars, restaurants, boutiques and a busy programme of electronic music with live DJs from all over the globe.

Day tickets for Rock in Rio Lisboa cost €84 (€147 for a two-day weekend pass) and can be purchased either online or at Worten stores across Portugal.
